usb data cable for sat nav V gone bang -need to get new one - where

Say Hello,
So my data usb cable for my Nav V has broken ( the end fell off!). Need to get a new one, Google does not bring up anything for the Nav V.
Will a 590 usb data cable work with the Nav V ? So it can talk to basecamp/GE again.

i use my samsung phone charger cable most devices use the small usb port as on the nav 5

dxtans, relax its just a standard USB cable.

Someone will come along and tell you you must use a Garmin cable. Ignore them, I have two Garmin cables, they came with my devices. They are still in the boxes with the fittings I didn't use. Normal cables work fine, the Nav V uses a different connector to earlier Garmins but it is the same connector as on many mobiles and tablets. We have half a dozen dotted around the house. I use whichever one is at hand. In my previous life as a hotelier in Austria I downloaded routes to loads of Nav Vs,sometimes to six of the things in one day, I never used a Garmin cable.

You're right all of you. My mini usb data/charging cable for my helmet bluetooth, works great. Some how windows 10 seems to recognise the unit as soon as basecamp loads up , before it took 3-4 mins. Go figure.

Suppose it makes perfect sense if you've got USB 3 on both your computer & device & you use a USB 2 lead
