Used 1200 GS Prices

Hi,

On my way over to the dark side from my 2002 Tiger, my budget is about £8k, when I first started looking in Sept last year that was a sensable ammount of money for an '57 or an '08 with ABS, now it's nearly £9.5k !,

Any experts opinions when this might settle down a bit, prices do seem all over the place at the minute, A dealer told me that it was due to the Euro price against the £ that was causing UK bikes to be shipped out to europe keeping the demand higher than normal for UK used GS's sounds feasble I guess.

Shop around .... I saw an F650 on sale at £5400 from a main dealer.. was just testing the water for SWMBO yesterday...

"How much for cash?"

two minutes of tapping away later....

"if its cash I can do it for £5300"

Didn't seem enough incentive for me to get me wallet out

think they prefer finance options

The euro is affecting things. Just have a look at some of the adverts in biketrader, some of them are in polish as well!! If you want a GS for this summer, you'll have to pay the going rate I guess. If you want the best bang for your buck you need to sell/buy private. Go to a dealer and hand them the vaseline!

Shame you only start looking when the sun came out ... there seem to be lots of people buying in the shops at the moment .. I have seen loads of sold stickers in my two local dealers ..

Had you thought about it a little earlier, you could have had this one for your £8k budget.
