6am wheeled it out. Key in the ignition pressed the button and off I went. The gears all worked and it never stalled even once. Later I went out again and it still worked. So boring.

Oh yes, I also had a child safety stair gate strapped to the side case frame to take to a friend's house and a brief case on the seat.

Disgraceful !

Take it back to the dealers as not fit for purpose for which it was bought I.E the ability to whinge on the interweb about how shoddy the bike is

You have been ripped off there mate

was it described accurately clearly listing all its lack of defects ?

If not get the Mods on the case

 do ya not think he has enough to carry without adding THAT load on the Bike! :blast

Its total rubbish and it shrank in the wash. Decal says R200GS since I pressure washed it. The horrible thing pulls wheelies in 2nd gear, such a bad example for all the old biddies down here.

Had mine out on Sunday, first time since last september. Feck me even with the shit I put it through it started and ran..............faultlessly Fuck it I think I will have to make a claim its supposed to be crap !!

Think I've been sold a pup, mine hasn't let me down since I got it last year with 66,000kms on it..................90,000kms now and not a feckin blip!!!!

Who do I write to??

Mine has sat in the garage since the end of October, not been on an optimate at all, (risky)
On Saturday I fitted a new low beam HID because it packed up last year,
Pressed the starter to check it was working and the bike fired up, it was a touch sluggish on the starter, should I buy a new battery just in case?
I don't want to get stuck somewhere when it fails!! I'm going to pembrey next Friday for Easter for the classic racing, worried.com :nenau

Sorted :D

Been riding my 07 1200 to & from work since June 2014,faultless.
Then the bastard thing blows a headlamp bulb the other day.
Now writing to BMW rejecting the bike & demanding a new engine.
Weird isn't it rode mine to work and back today heated grips hot , quick and nothing fell off . Utter shite :D

Mine started this morning. It's actually a pain in the ass having to press that button. Like the bike is sooooo smart knows the temprature if the side stand is down and so many other things. How come it doesn't just know when to start? JJH

.....Like the bike is sooooo smart knows the temprature if the side stand is down.......................

How much difference does it make to the temperature when the side stand is up?

So if I look really carefully and read between the lines here, this all means that the derision spouted regarding the 1200LC being troublesome and unreliable is tosh, and that they're actually no more troublesome or unreliable than 1100/1150s?
