I want to take my garmin abroad and use on a hire bike, who supply ram mounts, however, it seems there is no way to use the ram mount without using the hard wire

Am I missing something here cause it seems to use the garmin via a usb you can't use the cradle holding the hard wiring.

Has ram mount fixed to cradle, however, to use on another bike I'd need to use a usb, but plug in for usb is covered by cradle, christ I'm not making much sense here am I :rob

Well that makes two of us not making any sense, I already have that, and relevant ram, the problem I'm trying to explain is, you can't use a USB with that connected as it covers the USB port.

Which is why I suggested you buy another one and left you to work out the rest. Make an aperture in the correct place with a dremel if necessary. C'mon man - innovate!
