It is my belief that AI will take away any the final need for anyone to think at all. Remove any need to become self sufficient, learn for themselves and step out of their comfort zone.AI, will maybe give them an extra leg up the tree, whilst they aim to
It's just the final nail in the "Dumbing down" coffin.
When it's all just so easy, It really no adventure at all. It is well proven that the risk (even if there really isn't any), the fear of the unknown, the mystery etc is what really brings the joy to our game. It surely what the definition of what "adventure" is.
And I genuinely feel sorry for those who will never experience the true joy of Adventure Motorcycling as it becomes easier and easier. As corny and over quoted as the term is today.
I don't despise anyone who follows a pink line, only goes on guided tours or now just uses AI for self guided tours. I use the technology myself (because its too easy not to). And I used to be a guide for Globebusters so I understand it ticks a box for some.
I just feel a little sad at what's being lost. Inevitable as it is.
I've been lucky enough to Overland almost the whole world.. For months and months at a time. When Sat Navs were basic and there was no internet. It was such a thing to do back them. It really made you feel alive.
And I still do it now. In a world where there is 5G on the Salar De Uyuni and even in the middle of the Sahara desert.
I can tell you. It's all got so boring. So easy. So convenient. There is no risk. Barely any adventure. I often find myself asking why I bother at all.
That's my point
