Morning all.
I’ve got several routes to transfer and it appears this system doesn’t work on Apple products. Is anyone else having problems or is it just me ?
I’ll be a bit miffed it it’s a proper problem.

In what way, the apps work and the website works on all apple products.

What are you trying with? MRA is a website Scot desktop use and works great on my Mac and iPad.

The app is only mobiles

Bit more information needed. What planning app and what are you trying to do.

MyRoute’s cloud based platform, where all your routes are stored, works perfectly with Apple and / or Android. Similarly, it works perfectly with the MyRoute ‘Navigation’ apps on Apple and / or Android devices.

By the same token, the routes you download (save) from MyRoute will transfer into other app’s, for instance Google Maps and BMW Drive, without a problem.

Please give us a 1,2,3 A,B,C idea of what yiu are trying to do and what is going wrong.

Thanks.

Ok, here goes. I’m a route planner gold member. I use my MacBook/iPad to plan routes.
I then try to export to device which then leads me to the a screen which requires me to download the connector app, from there on it becomes a problem.
I’ve downloaded it but on the iPad I can’t get it to open.

Incidentally, when I downloaded the connector file it went straight into files, but I cannot open it.

What device are you trying to copy the route to? Garmin or another stand alone Sat Nav? MRA doesn’t have a connector app, you just export the file you need (normally gpx) and then transfer that to your device.

Oh yes it does. This is a screen shot of what it tells me.

Sorry can't do screen shot, but it actually tells me i have to use the connector. It gives me the choice of windows or Mac systems. I can download it but nothing opens.
The satnav connected was a Garmin .

Do you have the Garmin Drive app, or any other app which can open GPX files?

The connector does not work with iOS, only Mac OS. So a MacBook would work no problem.

When you download the file, it should be called connector_24.pkg. Open it and install it.

If it didn’t open, check the security in your settings, and it will be there from, click open it anyway.

No, i was just trying a direct transfer to a Garmin in 1.1gpx file format to start with.

On a physical connection, or wirelessly?

I've always exported form MRA to Garmin Drive, from either my phone or iPad.

Wired connection.
Im trying to get it to run so i can transfer routes onto the bike eventually. That'll be when it really goes wrong as the satnav on a goldwing is a bit temperamental about what it will accept.

Huh. I’ve never come across that. I just download the gpx and then used the sat navs app to transfer it

Its not beyond the realms of possibility that I'm a complete numpty with these things .
ATM, im making up routes on my MacBook, saving them as .gpx files then transferring onto the bike using a USB dongle. But it's a bit of a clunky way of doing things.
Also, i don't take my Mac with me, so im trying to learn how to do it using an Ipad

It's easy on the iPad, connect the nav to the iPad via a dongle, drop files into the gpx folder and disconnect

Is your sat nav mounting as a driver? What symbol do you get on the sat nav screen when connected to the macbook?

it went into file transfer mode but that won't be an issue when i transfer routes to the bike as it will be via a dongle

Why not just use the MRA on Apple Car Play ?
Works a treat.
