I notice that when using the TOMTOM Rider in a car you have to wear an earpiece. Is there an adapter available with a speaker in it ? I think the Garmin car mounts have a speaker built in.

Am I right ?

Regards, Colin.

Garmin 276c has the speaker builtin to the automotive kit DC power lead. If you dont have the auto kit u dont get full audio unless u wire something up

It varies from model to model. Some have a speaker built in; others use a speaker built in the power lead.

However, don't let this little setback upset you for not buying a Garmin!

Get hold of a mobile phone car-kit speaker. It may even have the right connection on the lead. If it doesn't, it's not too hard to solder a right sized jack-plug on!
