Hi
Has anyone achieved a connection to a Scala or other Bluetooth headset from a Garmin 2610 or 2720 other than via an autocom?
If so, how did you do it and does it work OK
Thanks
Phil

Actually the 2720 does have a bluetooth facility, although I do not use it for a headset it works great with my bluetooth telephone.

I tend to favour a hard wired headset such as Autocom headset directly linked to the 2720 (via Autocom adapter 2.5mm and 3.5mm to din plug) this combination gives a good volume level and will allow you to make and take calls via a bluetooth telephone. The big advantage is that it’s not prone to interference and the headset doesn’t requiring recharging.

I think you mean the 2820 as we did use to sell the 2720 so I should know the specs!!!

Also from your lead description you are running a 2820 as there are no jakc plug sockets on the 2720 main control unit to plug in a 3.5mm jack plug :)

If you want to you may get PerfectPilot - it comes in several versions with BT(http://www.perfectpilot.nl/html/switch_to_english.html) and as a bonus you get nice lefthand ops of your G SP - it comes at a cost of some greens though.:blast I have had mine since 2003 and have been happy :clap
