Go to garmins website and order the upgrade, then do a search for Version 9.
I'm in the same boat as V41, but can you jump from Version 6 straight to Version 9? Or do you have to need to have Versions 7 & 8 installed as well, before installing V9?

Nope, jump from 6 to 9 no problem.
Depending on your unit you will need Ver 9 or Ver 9NT, both of
which are available here.
