v4.20 and music icon on map screen

After going to 4.20 I lost the little music icon on the map screen. I know there is talk of a later version of 4.20 so went back to 3.50 and upgraded again. Still no music icon.

If I start playing music via the tools -> media player route, the icon appears and stays on the map screen even if I pause it, but goes again when I turn the 660 off.

Any ideas how I can get the music icon on the map screen when I turn the 660 on? I use the music player a lot on the bike, and this seems a bit of a step backwards.

I'm afraid that's how it is under 4.2, as you say a bit of a retrograde step. There is a number of posts on the Zumo forums about this feature! It would have been better if they gave you the choice I think, Garmin say they are reacting to user opinions.

True, a lot of people whinged on here when the music icon appeared as it was perceived to obscure map detail.

I agree, it should be an option in settings whether it's there or not. Different strokes 4 different folks...
