Has anyone here gone from a V4S to a Rally? How do they compare other than having a bigger fuel tank?

I did. Not being a riding god, I found it to be just as agile as the V4S and given the rough roads in my area, the longer travel suspension was very welcome. Excellent bike in my opinion, although I must confess I did chop my Rally in for an RS. Best of luck with your choice!

An RS - nice (y)

I have traded my V4S in now and pick the Rally up next week. I was interested in all the stories about it being better of pillions, more room on the back etc, but couldn't get any actual facts from anyone including the dealers, so I went down with a tape measure and there is no difference . It turns out Ducati have updated the metal tin luggage system so the top box is 6mm further back and the panniers 25mm further back, but I am swapping my plastic Ducati panniers and top box across and they sit in the same position. I've also had to leave my full system on the V4S as there is a "dent" on the Rally version that's not on the V4S version and Ducati won't swap it across (the EVO maps have to be registered to the VIN). But I am still happy with the bike, can't wait for my first trip to Austria on it.
