When bike is on centrestand and running in neutral the rear wheel spins and it speeds up when I twist throttle. If I put my hand on the wheel it will stop, but you can feel the drag. If I pull the clutch lever in it will stop. Is this normal? If not, how can you adjust it out?
My BMW R1100GS has a similar set up and there is an adjustment that you can carry out on the level at the rear of the box. Is there one on the V50? I had a look with a torch, but there is so little space I can`t see!

Dark nights !

Hi I've had several Guzzis, 2 x V50 mk11& mk111, i just accepted at the time that was normal, they were brand new ones, so no wear issues, it was helpful, to able to dry the rear wheel after a wash!
Guess the only adjustment is either end of the cable, then you run the risk of clutch slip.:rob

All my Guzzis and my 1200GS do this. Isn't it just hydraulic drag in the gearbox causing it, nothing to do with the clutch dragging?

The colder the oil, the higher the drag, ergo more transference to rear wheel....as g/box oil heats up, drag lessens but in most cases will still move the back wheel in neutral, I'd be more worried if it didn't >> binding brakes, warps etc etc ......
Or as is often said on here>>
They all do that sir !!
