I am filling out the form to get my 2002 R1150GSA registered first time.
Bought in Kuwait in 2003 and used it in Saudi Arabia for 8 years but, since importing back to UK in 2011, it has stuck in the garage
It was originally for the euro market and I have some info such as the 'copy of origin' from BMW and other data. But, some is in German and other info required for the form not there.
Having changed speedo and turned the headlight, it has passed 2x MOT's from two motorcycle test locations.
Now semi-retired, I want to get it on the road instead of buying a new 'all singing/dancing GSA :barf'.

So far I have completed some parts such as:
11. Type approval number .....R21
12. Type .......R1150 GS Adventure
13. Variant .... 0441
14. Version ... A
I don't think 20; max towable mass & 21; Track axle width or 28; Euro status directive apply to a motorcycle (could be wrong).

Can anyone help with these figures below direct from the form?
Or if someone has one filled out already, scan me a copy with private bits blanked out.

16. HC g/km or g/kWh .......
23. NOx g/km or g/kWh ........
35. CO2 g/km ......
36. Mass in service (kg) ......
38. CO g/km or g/kWh ........
39. HC + NOx g/km ......
44. Power/Weight Ratio (kW/kg) ......

This is just the start, I imported my Int'l spec 2010 FLHTCU in May and the whole thing will start again in the winter when getting that converted.
Thanks

I don't think you need to fill any of them in for a 14 year old motorcycle, I never have, though most vehicles I have registered have been much older, and some only apply to cars,

as my 2004 Fazer 1000 has none of that information on the V5C filled in, it must not be applicable.

They are all blank on my V5C

So I guess just leave them blank or N/A

I should add that P.2 and F.1 are also blank. I should have cut my blank smaller.

So, two members wrote it is not needed.
But, anybody else have any figures?

Sods law or just my bad luck and the forms will be returned. Bikes been waiting 5yrs in the garage to get the tyres scrubbed on UK roads.

I have just done this with my 1150GS. I bought it new in the UK and took it with me to Austria in 2008. It was registered in Austria until April this year. Now re registered back here.

The notes that come with the forms do not properly cover this situation. I rang them and eventually got to talk to someone. I sent in the form, together with the certificate of conformity, I was advised that if I sent the certificate I did not need to fill in all the boxes. This is what I did and the registration went through very quickly. If you don't have a certificate BMW should be able to provide it, it will be in German and they now charge for this service. I got one FOC in 2008 but the Austrian authorities kept it when I registered the bike there.

I hope that helps. If you are still unsure do as I did and talk to them, more reliable than some of the advice you might get on here!

Use the manufacturers figures from the BMW or BM riders website for the obvious things. Anything else, leave out. I did that for my 100gs imported from Ireland and just got the V5 today. Took two weeks but that included the bank holiday. Use their 0300 contact number for advice. I as amazed at how quick it was to get through and the helpfulness of folk on the other end of the line.

Edit: just noticed it's a 2002. Most of that extra stuff will not be needed for a bike over 10 years old but give them a call,to,confirm.

After 3 weeks wait, the DVLA have returned the paperwork and rejected the application :barf.

They say I did not enclose the original Saudi reg certificate or the export cert but, the reg cert was taken off me when I deregistered and handed in the plates. The de-reg doc was I the package but, will have to get it translated from Arabic.
So, more running around and my paid up insurance is being wasted.
Will have to look for a translation business in Manchester to do paperwork.

At least I will know what to correct next time when registering the Harley maybe next year.

I hope this is all that requires to be done
