Anyone bought one after buying the bike, if so, where from and how much? The cheaper ones seem to be from outside the UK and now attract import duties. Might be worth buying a genuine MG one methinks.

I bought a genuine stand from moto-corsa who we're selling them on eBay. Fitted it myself...everything straight forward but I Will say fitting the springs is a bastards. Useful guide is here:

Looked at various options when I got my bike, concluded that the Guzzi item was the best fit and ease of use as you may expect. Others seem to pitch the bike too high at the rear with the wheel further off the ground. Not an issue most of the time, but from what I had been told by those who tried alternatives, some require more of an effort to get on the stand, more than simply transferring your weight, needing a significant force to lift bike up before it goes over the fulcrum so to speak. Hope that makes sense.

Struggling with this stand, nowhere seems to have a genuine one in stock, and back orders are up to 6 weeks!

The dealer had it in stock when I bought the bike so I took it home and installed it myself which fit perfect and was easy to install. I would suggest waiting on a factory stand. 6 weeks isn't that long, just to mid April, and with no chain to deal with and tubeless tyres you should be able to do w/o one for that long.

Mine arrived yesterday and I fitted in about 45 mins. Relatively straightforward and the trick with a ratchet strap to extend the spring works really well. Not sure how else you do it actually unless there is a specific workshop tool for the purpose.

I order it along with the bike and it cost £175 + fitting. In the end, as it was taking so long to arrive (about 6 weeks), they sent the bike followed by the stand for me to fit and I now just need to remind them to refund me the fitting fee :D

I know it’s about 4 years since this tread was posted on but I’ve got a little obersation. I’ve got a tt and I’ve noticed that the Center stand was fairly scabby. 2023 model. I took it off and cleaned it up and painted it. The side stand which is in the same location and suffering the same effects of the elements is in as new condition. Obviously not coming out of the same factory. JJH
