As a cat D it should have been an easy repair, at least he is being honest by telling you it has been crashed.
However, if you want a 02 blue & white GS, 30000 miles that has not been dropped let alone crashed - pm me. Taking pics on Sat or Sun and will be putting it on the correct forum.
