Hate to say it, but I'm about to put my much loved F800GS up for sale.:tears Stepping away from biking for a while while I explore the avenue of a Westfield track day car instead, and don't have time for both. I'm not in a panic to sell and I want the right money for it.

The reason for the post is I'm looking for an opinion on:
a) how much to put it up for,
b) whether to de-farkle and sell extra bits on separately (i.e. Panniers, sump guard, crashbars, seat)

Description is below:

'08 F800GS Grey
9,500 miles with 2 Owners
Full BMW Service History (last serviced by Clarkes BMW Aug '13)
12 Months MOT (done this week)
6 Months Tax
Immaculate bike, always garaged and well cared for, never off-roaded or dropped with Metzeler Tourance tyres on.
Standard Stuff:
- Heated grips
- Hand guards
- Trip computer
- Vario Panniers
- Centre Stand
Non-standard Bits:
- Touratech Comfort Gel Seat
- Isotta Adjustable Screen
- Fuel Exhaust
- Adventure Spec. Crash bars
- Adventure Spec. Bash Plate / Sump Guard
- Accelerator Module
- Adjustable brake / clutch levers
- Rox adjustable risers

Opinions welcomed.

If I was selling my bike I would look to put it all back to standard and then sell on the parts.I would think that you will get more money for the extras that way and it maybe easier to sell the bike standard if not you need a buyer who wants one with the mods you have done. Just my humble poinion and I maybe wrong :D

:agree

Always restore to standard for maximum coin in your pocket :thumby:

You might get better / more interest in warmer bike buying weather :D

For a guide price keep an eye Here, bike trader and MCN to draw a guide......

I like the Grey ones I have one :beerjug: :rob but you do know if you sell, you will miss it. :tears

Paid £4300 for it.

Nice bike - when you've decided a value would you let me know?

I paid just under £6k for my '09 with 5k miles (3 years ago) - sell yours std, for say £5k?

My only comment is 9500 miles in 5 years? :eek

It's not alone, I'm trying to sell my '08 F800GS and it has just over 9500 on it. For the last couple of years, I've been too busy with other stuff to ride it...
