PC Buffs opinions on this?

Fanum, I would go for an Asus 980ti. Check out how good they are compared to the competition. That would be top of my list over evga, msi, gigabyte etc.
Quietest, and most overclockable! Having said that, at this high end, they are all close to each other in performance and reality is that you won't see any difference below 4k, they just blow any lower resolutions out the water!!
If you can afford that i7 it will match your gtx beautifully, proper futureproofing.

Sounds a good plan with the psu etc. I have a carbide 400r case and am very happy, corsair builds some of the coolest (temp) cases so I'm with you on this one too.

Ok, I think I've settled on my choice (though I'm not ordering for a week or so, so it might be subject to change )

From THIS page, I think I'm going with THIS MODEL.
It's at the very top end of my budget but with the SSD as well as the 2TB 7200 Barracuda drive, its i7 (yeah I know, I said i5 was fine, but wtf........) and the 2400mhz ram rather than the 1600 speed that you get on the next model down, I reckon it'll bloody fly

(and it's the K chip so I can whack it up in speed if I want to )

I'm not bothered about W7.......I've been using it since before it came out and I obviously get the free upgrade anyway which I'm not the slightest bit bothered about doing, but it saves a few quid over having Pre-installed W10 on it.

I'm going to send those specs to some other builders to see if they want to match or beat it as well

4k textures and ENB settings for the latest games gobble that up pretty fast.....it's not as wow as it sounds.

EDIT......Even looking at just a 4k display on Ultra settings in Skyrim, it will be JUST ABOUT managing over a 60FPS refresh rate, so the card is pretty much bang on at the moment I reckon.......it won't be too long before I'll be after another one to SLI with it if things keep coming out as fast as they are.
