This came up in another thread - someone looking for advice on TC valve adjustments. A few years ago I decided to create a spreadsheet to help me calculate what size shim I would need as/when my valves needed adjusting on my 2012 R1200GS (K25 series). I got a little carried away and ended up turning it into more of an app that I call The Shimulator (TM). Over on ADVrider they asked me if I could make up an LC version for the wethead bikes, so I made one up for them, too.

Just measure your valve clearances (per the manual instructions), enter the measurements into the Shimulator, and it will tell you whether you’re in or out of spec, what size shims you need to get you back into spec, and the BMW part numbers for the needed shims.

(This is a view-only Google Sheet. To use it, first save a copy to your Google Drive, or download as Excel to your hard drive.).

Thanks for the work. Wont be needing for a few years as the bike is new, but have downloaded ready for that day.
Cheers.
