The time has come for me to say goodbye to my well loved motor home I've owned it since 2017 and 29000 miles. Just returned from a 75 day trip through France and Spain, it's based on a 2009 (Nov) X250 Fiat Ducato maxi chassis 6.3m 2.3 multijet. Anyone who knows Vantage will recognize they are at the top of the league for quality and a new one now would be the best part of £100k. It has 59000 ish miles but this may change a little, mot until Feb 2026. Interestingly the first owner was the late DJ Johnny Walker.
100w solar
3.5m Fiamma awning
refillable gaslow system {2 bottles)
Blown air gas heating
Gas or electric hot water
Shower
Electric windows
Folding mirrors
Cruise
Aircon
12v compressor fridge
All season tyres (conti's)
Loads more when I can remember see https://www.vantagemotorhomes.co.uk/ for specs (there still almost the same) Will upload more pics soon, looking for close to £30,000 or would px for a low mileage auto Sprinter/Crafter or Transit

Untidy at the moment as just back from big trip but will take some pics soon. It's basically the same layout as any on the website, 2 lengthways singles or one huge double, daytime is a rear u shaped lounge, both front seats swivel, one small and one large table with 3 positions, also shorter leg for outside use with tripod feet. Casette toilet/shower, wardobe with fridge under, lots of cupboard space, spinflow 3 burner hob with full oven/grill
Tow bar
Siverscreen
100l fresh water tank
90l waste water tank
Alpine DAB stereo with hands free bluetooth
Safe

Erm…..isn’t that a camper van ?
Not a hotorhome.

Vantage website initially describes their products as campervans then change it to motorhomes deeper in the website

Probably because punters use Google to search (algorithm) for a “camper van”, as that’s what majority of them (especially first time buyers) know it as. They eventually learn that it is actually a motorhome, but to tell their friends, they still refer to it as a camper van as would I.

This is a motor home to me.

I thought the distinction between a camper van and a motorhome was that you can take a dump and have a shower in a motorhome

I may be wrong, but I understand it as being
Van based is a campervan
Coach built on a chassis is a motorhome, and is usually wider than a van base.

Two types of motorhome I think. 'A class' which are coach built (using just the original chassis) such as a Hymer B564, and smaller ones that use the donor van's driver cab.

Yes, that’s what I was getting at.
A motorhome is on a van chassis with a normal cab. Then the accommodation is built onto it.

I may be wrong, but I thought a converted van can be driven 70mph legally on a motorway, whereas a motorhome using the van as a base and bodywork applied to the chassis restricts it to 60mph, as does towing a caravan etc. Whether that's something important or not is up to you
