I want to clean up the front and rear hubs on my r90s and was wondering if anyone has ant experience of vapour blasting them.
Would the hub, rim and stainless spokes be able to be blasted together or will I have to unlace the rim. Also am in Dorset so anyone recommend ay finishing firms or individuals

I used to have a vapour blaster.

You need to break the items down before blasting as the abrasive beads will get into everything. Have a look at soda blasting if you don't want to strip the parts down. I did try soda but had limited success.

This is a vapour blasted hub. It's well worth the effort to strip them down but you will need to re place and reshim your wheel bearings.

If you don't want to strip use soda. Speak to Chris at Carburettor Cleaners in Puttenham, near Guildford. He does all my vapour, soda and, err, carb cleaning.
