Vari Upter - ability to retain the R1250 GS topbox?

Hi all,

I've seen a few posts referring to this bit of kit which fits to the R1300GS rack (the one with the electronics to fit the R1300GS topbox) and enables you to continue to use the R1250GS topbox. Has anyone actually bought it and are happy with the product?

I’d be interested to know if the 1200GS /1250GS Vario mounting plate lines up with the holes on the 1300GS.
Not quite as sleek as the Vari Upter but might be a possibility.
