Vario Pannier Fitting

Hi Folks,

New to this pannier lark and am so far finding the fitting of the side panniers a bit of a faffle, i eventually get them fitted but it seems like the top fittings need adjusting or something as i feel like im going to break them with the force i need to apply to get he red lever to lock down at the top.

I have had a search on the forum and on google/you tube cant really find anything that shows the steps to install and adjust so thought i would ask you guys.

As usual any help much appretiated.

From memory I think the "mushroom bolts" on mine have about 45mm of thread showing.

With mine. With the case off the bike.
Make sure all clips are open.
Drop the case on the top bolt.
I then lift the bottom of the case up an outboard.
With my finger on the red tab until it clicks nicely.
Then click on the forward clip near the foot peg.

On mine the distance from the frame to the top of the mushroom is 28mm maybe yours need to be screwed out a tad ?

Thanks for the quick replies and for checking for me, think i will try adjusting slightly.

Yeh i find that if you move the pannier out slightly it seats better but i just cant find a way that works everytime.
