Which I got involved in as I wanted to get something not expensive for my vario panniers.

I have the Wunderlich adapters so use the K50 varios on my R1300GS

After a lot of looking around I went with this company in Italy as they did the plain black ones with no 1200 / 1250 logo on
Going on a triple black anyway

They do a wide range of coverings for many types of panniers etc

Ordered on the 18th December from Italy and arrived this morning at mine via Fedex

I found them easy to fit, even for no patience me. The only issue was the curve at each side of the varios. It curves on 2 planes.
I just couldn't get rid of a couple of small ridges. I'm sure if had perserved I might have
So, I trimmed them with a stanly knife and a straight edge by an inch. Very happy with the result
Took about an hour or so, much quicker than I thought it would be

These are fitted dry, adhesive backing

No bubbles, just a couple of stone chips that had disturbed the aluminium surface

No idea how much protection against scrapes they will offer or if they will fly off at 50mph

Cost was £40.41 delivered

I bought some for my old 1200 GS Varios from these guys ( link below) and again subsequently another set on my later 1250 Adventure.
They were more expensive but they were very high quality and “thick” vinyl plastic. Easy to fit in both cases. Unfortunately they have not done anything for the 1300 adventure.....yet....
I had a look around the site in your post and it seems to have virtually the same style of stickers for the 1300 that I bought from another Italian company. All in 1 large piece making it impossible to wrap. Also they were identical to what I saw on Aliwank. Prices were of course much lower from Aliexpress. As said, I got mine from another Italian company ( Details in the other thread) and they were expensive and unfortunately after struggling for 3 hours with the top box they all ended up in the bin. Impossible to fit. I also had the same issue in that they were oversized so I tried also trimming with a stanley knife but it should not have been like that.

I ordered some cheapo ones from Aliexpress which came in many smaller sections and they are OK but frankly still waiting the when the guys in my link below come up with something

Again not knocking your review of what you have. They look perfect just saying its difficult to get something of quality for the 1300 adventure at the mo.

I also ordered from Stickersline direct, think I paid a few pounds more but they arrived quite prompt reflecting they are being shipped from Italy. Also gave me something to do over the break.

For the end pieces, the secret I found was too start at the edge try and stretch it flat to the edge line of the box, and work it up first, then bend and down, rather than try to align to the “X” and work back to the outside edge. Have the faith that when tapered part rolls over, it aligns.. (it does)

Here’s one of the 3.. was keen to see how it looked with the rest of the livery.. excuse the odd angle.. there’s a lot in the garage

The Effeti black vario stickers look good....if these peel off too soon then they would be worth a try for me

I found his way of applying by opening the centre of the backing paper to be very helpful in centering the stickers I got

Unfortunately from me they only do 2 styles for the varios and none for the GSA 1300

Worth noting the “cheapies” we bought from Italy have a rectangle of anti scratch in the centre section too..

Should have said, I also used the “start in the middle technique” for the main decal.. I will say.. these did seem to go on easier and smoother than how the uniracing appeared to in the vid.. but not used both, so take that as my caveat disclaimer .. (other stickers are available blah blah..and it’s only as good as he/she/they (go me and modern BS), on who peels the backing??? )

yes, good point. Removing the backing tape is one option. I was always advised to align the sticker before removing any backing paper and using masking tape to get the sticker in exactly the right position. Then working from one side with the masking tape in place and removing half of the backing paper to stick one side or half first.
I am sure there are many alternatives but indeed alignment is important so for bigger stickers you really need to get this right.

The bit about removing a centre strip allows placement without it sticking until you apply pressure once happy with centre alignment
The remaining backing holds the exposed sticky just off the surface
