Vario panniers stiff

Any one have a link,manual, pictures etc on how to seperate the two halves of BMs vario panniers. One of mine has all but seized and dont want to end up with a load of spring, gears and washers every where

We took one apart (top box) at the HU meeting in Italy a couple of weeks ago and it was quite easy to split the boxes - no springs. There are four stainless brackets inside - just unscrew them and they pop off the plastic mounts and then its's easy peasy to separate the lid from the base. I would imagine that it is the same for the side panniers as well.
