Hi All,

a bit of wisdom required, i am in the process of buying a set of panniers but the owner ( off here) does not have the original key, i believe you need this to get the locks out to recode them to my key, it that true.

If so how can i get them recoded without the original key to remove them, i dont want to have to start drilling them.

Thanks in advance

Easy to do without the original key, as long as they are open. I've done a few. The first took ages but I can do them faster than the BMW where I bought my new bike; I know as I watched him code mine and it took a lot longer!

Thanks,

I just found an old thread, they are unlocked but as i just explained to the member i am buying them off, i have fingers like bananas and eyes like:eek: so me recoding them will be a greek tragedy

LBL, it really is a 5 minute job to do it yourself. If you decide to have a go and work out which "leaves" (1/2/3) you need give me a shout. I have loads of spares and can pop some in the post :thumb2

Have a look on EBBO.org. He is on here and has his own site with just this on it. That is if I remembered it correctly.
Cheers Glenn.

Thanks Guys,

I have read all the threads from here and ADVrider on how to do it, but i have sort of got the dealer to agree to do it for free, fingers crossed
