Vario top box on a GSA?

Old bike is a 04 GS 1200. Shiny new one is a 08 GSA. Does anyone know if the Vario top box will fit on the new one without any expensive BMW mods?

I wanted to buy the full GSA luggage kit - top box and panniers but it's bloody expensive after buying the bike!

You have to fit the Wing on the back from a standard GS. Its £160 .I thought about it for my GSA as my SE had full vario Luggage. In the end I sold my Vario Box for £190 and bought a GSA Box which is I think better ,and takes my Tour cross helmet ,something the vario did not. You also have to take off the Rack on the GSA ,which you could sell.See if someone on here wants to do a swap of rear Racks?

I run a Vario topbox in place of the pillion seat on my 06 GSA. I've also got the Vario panniers as well so had to get rid of the OE GSA rack which I did a straight swap for the GS topbox mounting braket. I've never fitted the bracket as SWMBO shows no interest in going on tour on the bike but could fit it in about 30 minutes if I ever neede to
