Anyone come across this?
Just ordered and received a luggage net to fit in the lid of the vario top box. It's my second box, as the first one was replaced under warranty last year after the vario bit stopped ..er...varying.
The original box had self tapping screws in each corner, in to which the net simply attaches. However, this replacement box doesn't have the "top" two screws fitted in the box lid. You can see on the moulding where the screws are supposed to be, but it seems BMW have chosen to omit them for some reason. I could just put a couple of self-tappers into the blanked holes, but if BMW have not chosen to fit them, there must be a reason. Don't want to inset a screw that somehow prevents the top box from varying.
Why are the tiniest details in life so complicated.....
