Vario Top Box

Does the Vario Top Box require an "adaptor plate" to allow installation on a 2014 R1200Gs LC TE?

The motorrad store shows the box available with/without a plate, hence my question.

Yes it needs the adapter. Another way to get money out of us

I have a LC BMW top box I might be willing to sell on. With adaptor plate.

I've just got a Givi Trekker Outback 58 Ltr to replace it.

Just bought a new top box, base plate & code able barrel for £200 on fleabay - looks good but bloody heavy!

Just fitted my new Topbox baseplate. What a con! It's virtually identical to the item that comes fitted as standard. Why oh why BMW don't fit the Topbox plate as standard fit on the TE, I'll never know (or perhaps I do )
