Hey.. I may be doing something dumb here, but just bought a vario top case from someone, have coded the lock and fitted to the bike. I can hear the central locking on the case, but box wont open without me turning the key in the lock that allows you to remove the box from the bike. Assuming this is not the right behaviour? Not sure what the point of central locking would be if i still need the key lol. Any vario owners able to confirm?

The manual seems to suggest you need to manually unlock it, if it was manually locked previously.
If you leave it unlocked, and lock with the central locking - does it unlock with the CL?

Ok i think i worked it out but not sure if it’s right - the key can be removed from the lock in 2 positions - with it in its vertical locked position and also horizontally 90 degrees from that. The horizontal position seems to stop the central locking from unlocking the case, in the vertical position it works. Is this normal?
Ok yes it’s not very clear and my case doesn’t have the labels on it that are in the manual.. but still doesn’t really make much sense, but I guess as long as the vertical position is where it should be for the CL then probably is right!

No,you can do it yourself you need wafers too code it to your key..
Plenty of Utube videos on doing it...
