Vario Topbox in place of pillion seat on 1200GSA

Hi,

Has anyone fitted a Vario topbox in place of the pillion seat on a 1200GSA with GSA racks still in place? Can it be done? Any pictures?

Yes it can be done. Undo the four bolts that hold the topbox mount to the rack. Re-position to the pillion seat mounts. Easier to re-position than with the vario luggage.

On the 1200GS it fits into the three positions that the rear seat takes. The rear seat is the same on the 1200GSA.

The only thing I'm not sure about is whether the vario box would clear the handles on the top rack.

Fits perfectly, but you'll have to take off the rear Adv rack. Have a look at the East Mids 2006 fords run for pics of mine.

not a gsa but same issue, i cut down a gsa rack so i could use both.
