I remember a recommendation here a few years ago for a vehicle management app but can't remember the name of the app or who recommended it.

Ideally I'd like to have tax/insurance/mot dates for our cars and my bikes in one place with, if possible, a reminder function of due dates for the above.

I don't mind paying a one-off fee for the right app if it has the features I'd like to have. What's the best option for me in your opinion?

Thanks in advance. :thumb2

Google calendar on my phone does all the reminder things. Set the insurance to seek quotes at 25 days before renewal, which is in the cheapest period of 21-28 days

On the MOT website you can set reminders (text & email) which come through 1 month prior. The same for VED - you can get a reminder sent through.

As Wessie as mentioned, use your email calendar on your phone/laptop for a reminder for insurance.

I use the MOT & VED reminders for my 3. And also add them to a physical calendar along with the insurance renewal dates - at a 2 months/1 month /renewal date periods.

Custodian is an app i have heard of - which looks to be free, and seems to help manage what you want - plus documenting other information such as servicing, upgrades and so on.

As above, you can set MOT reminders from the .gov website:

I think the limit is 2 vehicles via SMS.
If you have more, they will send an email, that is ok – I use that.
I found having VED on direct debit to make things easier (I have 4 vehicles at the moment).

Insurance will chase you on renewal, so hard to miss that.

If you only need these details, paying for an app is a bit of a waste IMHO.
Makes sense if used to track more.

I'm not sure if that works here in the north of Ireland but I'll have a look thanks. :thumb2

I think I'll take a look at Vehicle Smart and see if that will work for me.

Thanks all. :thumb2

The DVLA customer account is good, register any vehicle that's in your name for tax/mot reminders, it'll also keep your driving licence online which is useful if you need a check code or change of address.

I also use the free version of vehicle smart but it also won't give you insurance reminders.
