Hi All

I have recently got some Fork Sleeves with velcro closure manufactured as there seems to be a distinct lack of them in the UK. I have tested them on my ride through West Africa and they do work great. So save yourselves some seals and fit these :)
Do get in touch with any questions or discussions you may have !

I made up a few sets these for the 1100 and 1150 , iwas using heavy duty neoprene made from diving suits , had mine on for several years and no problem . no market so project stopped .

Thanks for letting me know, figured as much so luckily I didn't get too many made. My first seals went at 14 000 miles with just conventional road riding. Road muck and dried up bugs seem to be the main cause of seal failure which I don't think everyone realizes. Then after fitting my second set I got these sleeves made and have been through West Africa all the way down to Cape Town on them. 28 000 miles and the seals are going strong. That to me is proof that they work. They cost 19 quid and are quick to install so for me it's a no brainer. Anyway here is another link for my new listing

I bought a kids old wetsuit on ebay, chopped off the legs, cuta long the seam & tied them on with cable ties.

£3.50, works a treat & I have the arms for next time .....

Good on you mate ! Saved a couple of quid !
That's what I did initially before getting these manufactured.
The problem with my homemade ones was that they looked as bad as a man dressed in a Tutu ! :JB

Fork gaiters

R80RT ones fit, had them on my 1150 for years.

For offroad, it suprisingly seems a good idea to pack grease behind the dust seal.

Had 3 fork seal failures in a year before doing this. Loads more off road riding and not had to do one in nearly four years. I scoop it all out when servicing the bike and replace with new. It's surprising the amount of crap that gets past the dust seals. :thumb2

Fork Sleeves for F650GS (Twin) F800GS (Twin)

Hi Everyone

As some of you may know I am selling the below product on ebay and am testing the waters to see if there would be demand for a similar product for both the F650GS (Twin) and F800GS (Twin)
Let me know your thoughts please ! The current range I am doing has had positive feedback and as said I want to see if I can expand the product range. The F800GS sleeves would most likely also be cheaper then the current range as less material can be used for manufacture. So any of you that would be interested please let me know !

These are the current ones I have on the market for the older F650GS singleshttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Neoprene-Fork-Sleeves-Velcro-Closure-F650GS-f650gs-Dakar-00-07-and-G650GS-/180817453041?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2a198f5ff1#ht_500wt_1413
