The new ‘Start from nearest waypoint’ option, works well
It works particularly well if you adopt MyRoutes suggestion of placing a waypoint every 5 km / 3 miles. This way, the new option of starting from the nearest waypoint has lots to aim for.

I really like the app now for route planning and navigation and the sync function, when you have wifi (or phone signal) is genius. I think the app is best used on a phone (or second phone/small tablet) as even though the Africa Twin has CP and AA there is an added layer of faffage connecting the phone up and waiting for the AT screen to boot up and connect to the phone, though the button function to do things on the AA screen is handy. If you just use the phone (or a garmin) just switch on the route and off you go. I did a 230mile route round the boondocks last week with a couple of stops and it was perfect.
