My Smoke ORANGE R90s is the BMW press bike that appeared in all the 1975 magazines >> HLF 137N.. owned her since 1980.
Your turn ???? :augie

I reckon it might make over 10K. Trouble is its too special to actually use:rolleyes:

£9100 with just over a day to go.

As a matter of interest what would it go for if it hadn't been owned by this lord bloke? Apart from provenance it seems to only be a good ordinary 90S or have I missed something?

I don't really get it either. I wouldn't give a toss who owned it previously – means nothing to me. Folks are funny.

I went and saw this bike today and it is only slightly better than the R90S that I bought last weekend for a tad over 4K with £600 worth of new spares.

THAT sounds like a brilliant deal......Very very well done.....:thumb2

However, surely you would agree that the 'going rate' for a decent R90s is not four grand ?....:nenau

Ended at the best part of eleven grand.......a grand was added in the last few seconds.

From here, it sounds daft.....HOWEVER, I just KNOW that in two years it will sound cheap.

.......and I still think Eng's bike is nicer......

Well I hope so, I really fell for it when I saw it yesterday and lets face it 11K in the bank at the moment gets you a couple of hundred quid and bike like that at least makes me smile . In the past 10 days I have now acquired 2 of these beauties but the 75 grey bike is going to become an orange lovely at the end of the summer. Clearly I need to understand the mechanical intricacies of these bikes quickly to keep them on the road.
Are there any tossers out there near to north Dorset who can provide a friendly chat and advice to an R90S greenhorn

As is often pointed out, a bike is only worth what someone will pay for it so this is worth £11k. Lots of knowledgeable people on the forum regarding the R90S. I have one plus a R90/6 if you want to call over and have a look over them anytime. I am in Bideford :thumb2
