Big thank you to Roger from ARD cases for turning my scribble on a fag packet into a working set of boxes. The boy done good:thumb2
I wanted a set of metal panniers that had fold down tables so when were out n about we could pull over and pop the camping stove on or put our sandwiches on etc. anyway after a conversation with roger and a few sketches this is what he came up with. I'm well happy:D

Idea

Put a piece of that non slip matting between the tray and the pannier to stop everything sliding off when you're using it and you're not parked level

Turn the bolts that hold the latches on the lid so that the nuts are on the inside and then replace with domed ones to stop them wearing a hole in anything you tie to the top of the pannier. Also prevents any toe rags just undoing the nuts and helping themselves to the contents of your 'locked' panniers

All in hand

New superbug top box being designed as we speak. Big advantage with the top box is with the stearing damper tightened up and the kuko cruise control set there's no need to stop for a pooh:thumb2

Very nice looking panniers.:thumb How much were they?

Got them in the post this morning and they are stunning. Very strongly made with a nice finish. The tables work a treat and are very strong with a weight capacity of about 20kg which is pretty awesome.
A big thanks to Roger who was well up for building something a little different.:thumb2

Very good idea and I'd consider those panniers for my GSA 1150.
However is the table fitted to the left pannier ? So if your forced to stop by the road side won't you be cooking your lunch stood in the road on Euro trips ?
Just a thought ? :D
I'd be interested to know what these boxes cost with rails etc for a GSA 1150 with those little tweaks though.
Nice idea and they look well made. :thumb2
