Have you looked into producing a luggage rack/plate to temporarily replace the rear seat on a R1200RT, thereby making it easier and more convenient to lash a roll bag or whatever to the bike?

I recall someone in the USA did one but it was horrendously expensive and then there was shipping/tax etc.

Just a thought.
