Via Mediterra - The Journey around the Med on a HP2

Good morning everyone,
my name is Dirk and I was passive follower of UKgser but I thought that my trip around the Mediterranean Sea might be interesting to you. Just let me know.

The route went over 3 continents, through 21 countries and had put 40.000kms on the mile-o-meter of the HP2.

Thanks you everyone for your comments. I'm feeling honoured by your attention. Some short answers to the questions:

Cameras were Canon EOS 20D (destroyed the sensor in Tunisia), EOS 30D, EOS 40D (replaced the 20D) and a G9 (BridgeCam) for snap shots. Lenses were 3.5 10-22mm, 2.8 17-55mm, 2.8 70-200mm and 1.8 85mm for portraits. Videos were taken with an oldschool Panasonic NV-GS 500.

The idea of solving the Maroc/Algeria problem was to take a ferry back from Maroc to Spain and another one from there (Almeria or Alicante) to Algeria (Oran, Algiers or Ghazouet). But planning often replaces coincidence by error (if that is a proper translation) as we'll see later on the journey.

Ah, and the Turkey picture ... err, a bit embarrassing but I had to ask someone to help me pulling it back. But what do you do for a nice pic?

Just a quick question Dirk, what happened that you managed to leap in the air leaving the bike behind in the last picture in your first post (apart from landing with a bump ....) is it photoshopped?
