Vibration at 5000 rpm - 2014 GS TE

great news . He will love the GSA second best colour too in blue .

Anyone else had this issue here?

There is a high frequency vibration on ALL boxer twins that comes in around 4200-5200 RPM. Above that it will get lesser then go away.

If your bike is doing that it may be the bike, it may be you are over sensitive.

No matter what, if it is an abnormal vibration it should be fixable by the dealer. I sure wouldn't jump right to demanding a replacement.

Then again, maybe things work differently in the UK. :nenau

Jim

Edit: My response was from the first page. It does sound like excessive vibration. However, I applaud the OP for not instantly wanting a refund, and going through the painful process of trying to get it fixed. Hope the new GSAw is all he wants it to be!

I'm gonna order my BMW bits through you, how much can you get me a BMW GSA seat for?

By the time I've added my profit margin to the discounted price, probably not much cheaper than you can get it for!:P

Hi all! Back on line after my logic board went on my Macbook. They say things happen in 3's so I wonder what next...

As Rich has already updated, I'll just confirm the details.

The bike was better, but still not perfect, so Dean at Barnstormer has ordered me a new GSA TE with quick shift and keyless. I collect it on the 2nd March.

My old bikes going back on the 21st February so the alarm and tinted ADV screen can be removed, and fitted on the new bike.

I got a cracking deal, and it made the hassle and being patient well worth while. I'm chuffed to bits and cannot wait for the new bike to arrive.

A BIG thank you to all of you for you support, advice and comments. Once the bike arrives, I'll post a picture up for all to see.
