I know it's not a Harley but does anyone have experience of owning a Victory Vegas? What are your thoughts (should I have really asked that!!) TIA.

I know of two current Victory owners, one has a Vision the other a Gunner. Both are very happy with them and the Vision has big mileage on it. The Vegas will have the same same engine as those bikes which are good strong reliable lumps.

The wife has an Arlen Ness Kingpin with the 92 motor (1507cc), it's brilliant. I prefer it to my Harley Breakout M8. Easy to maintain and the essential parts are easy enough too find. I service it but it's easy enough to get serviced by any motorcycle garage if you wish. there's nothing complicated about them at all. Indian dealers should have access to the more difficult to find parts.

The only thing I didn't like about the Vegas was a single front disc, as they're not a light bike. As to the styling, that's a very subjective topic and best left to the potential owner. I ran a Cross Country for several years, service parts are 'off the shelf' items in any workshop. One type of oil, and all easily done at home. Apart from a failed LED in the rear array, nothing went wrong with mine, at all. They do benefit from a quarter turn throttle kit, but other than that, crack on.

I've always fancied trying the 'Vision', largely for the futuristic? looks, but never got around to it as I'm not sure I actually want to own another bike that takes up that much space in the garage - plenty of fans out there still it seems but, like many Victory bikes, they were a tad marmite.

I see there is a nice 106 Vegas at Reading HD currently, one of the two Lind outlets that are set to close shortly, so maybe there is a deal to be done.
