Ok ,
This has been bugging me .
When I record using the video camera , with the bullet camera attached to it , the footage always comes out very small , even though the image size setting on the video camera is set at 1024 x 728 .
I use Windows Movie maker .

Any suggestions ?

Steve

Steve, as a bit of numpty I'm interested in the reply too.

The footage I take using a bullet cam on the bike to a MiniDV Camcorder plays back to the TV in excellent quality. Just superb. Then I try and download it thru a firewire port using Windows Movie Maker and the highest quality I can define to extract from the camcorder doesn't leave you much to play with in Movie Maker. ie, piddley resolution = small window for a decent playback.

Yeah ,
I wonder if it is something in the make up of Windows Movie maker - the footage you play back to the TV -is it full tv screen size ?

The link at the bottom of my post was edited with Windows Movie Maker and some was with a bullet camera, I've had no problems about the sizeing.

I have the finished film, which is a couple of minutes longer on DVD but cannot seem to upload it:confused:

Steve, yes, full spanky screen as nature intended. Daz Ford Coppola! And then load it thru Movie Maker and its a tiny winy window version. I just don't get it.

I can save a video with the quality/size of yours but how do you save it to disk in full screen size/quality? Agree its going to be flippin huge but to save it onto DVD you must ned the source file on your disk first?

Dunno ,
The Windows thing has got me right cheesed off now - I just wanna know how and why .....guess what .............
SWMBO has just told me [ I'm at work at the moment ] that we have a box of tricks at home [ XMAS pressie last year - NEVER KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT ONE !!] which contains all the doings for making our own home movie DVD's ............... so I'm gonna have a crack at that with some footage I still have on the video camera [ a trundle through the countryside ] ............... BUT I STILL WANNA FIND OUT ABOUT WMM , cos I've spent enough time trying to suss it ...SOMEBODY MUST KNOW !!

Steve

Busy

You sound busy.

I shouldn't be here at all !!
I only popped in cos SWMBO is in town at her works Xmas function [ I brought her in , and it's not worth the 25 mile trip home just to turn round and do it again later ] .

Someone has just pointed out that the cam settings of 1024 x 728 which I found on the menu may be for stills , and that the settings for movies might be 320 x whatever it bloody is , so that it can capture the motion without too much distortion ............. ?

Steve

Hopefully this isn't a thread hijack but I am looking at getting a bullet camera and I've heard they are alol analogue at the moment so I will need an Camcorder with analogue AV in. Does anyone know if they do a digital bullet cam yet??

many thanks

So far I have found this http://www.paramountzone.com/action-camera.htm# but if you can find an affordable 2GB SD card to go in it you still only get 30mins recording it seems

Now that I like. SD cards are always coming down in price ... even the 2Gb are affordable. Do you know if it will take a 4Gb and provide an hours footage?
That looks soooo much easier to lug around when I only end up with the same resolution when I cart round the minDV and bullet cam.

This one will .........

Steve

As your site is also selling the Tony Hawk camera perhaps it's worth asking them the question

Looks as though it has a bigger on/off switch that would be easier for gloved hands. The AV in/out would also be a plus presumably?
