Bought a 1200 GSA and wasn't keen on the silver aluminium tank and pannier, so wrapped them in vinyl

Suprised how easy it was

Looks good Andy, have you changed the seats too?

Not sure if this is going to work. First time posting a photo. But here's my "vinyl wrap". Not convinced yet, but I think it's growing on me.

Still playing with the idea of wrapping my tank , I've done the rear box . Don't have panniers. . Yours looks good

I bought the bike with the wrap on it. It's not a bad job. It is lifting on the GS contours and has a couple of scuffs where stones etc have hit it. The bonus is that the original paintwork has been very well protected. It's different and I think it's growing on me. I was going to set to it with a heat gun and take it back to white, but I think I might be keeping it on there for a while.

I think they are asking about the top bike (gs lc) not the moo cow one :)

The tank looks so much better wrapped. Did you need to use any heat to get it to conform to the 'GS' contours?

Yes you do need a bit of gentle heat to get it to conform to the "GS" contours but the trick with vinyl wrapping is having somewhere for any air bubble to escape to, so you can manipulate the air out to the edges. It even conforms to the tiny "BMW" emblem on the panniers

That looks great, a bit of sticky back plastic goes a long way. Good job on the Vario's also. It's not to hard with a bit of patience and decent wrap, well done to you sir :)

I've got a 6ft x 12ft roll of 3M Satin black sitting in the garage, I've been meaning to do my LC GS Side panels for months now since seeing the results that Nutty had when he had his Blue one wrapped. You've just motivated me to stop malingering and sort it out :)
