VINYL WRAP

Hi,
I wanted to know if anyone has considered vinyl wrapping to change the colour of their bike? I have a 1200GS and as there are only 2 pieces that would need to be done I am considering it, Just got to get some prices and decide on a colour/ design.

As only 2 parts you want to do why not give it a go yourself. Best to take off the parts first but as long as you have time and some patience, and a hair drier to hand fairly straight forward. Quite a few threads on here of bits people have done. Stuff is easy to get hold of, EBay, and loads of options. Try and get the 3M as it is by far the best and easiest to use. Lots of YouTube info on applying. Did my top box lids that were badly marked and dented. Took a couple of goes but overall worth the effort, and you can always peel it off if not happy.
Give it a go.

I really would like the boxes on my GSA done, but don't know if I'd have the patience or steady hand for it.

It should also work on the polypropylene parts that paint wont stick to. It could also be good on alloy panniers that are used all year round to keep salt fuzz at bay.

I did this for a bit of fun for a trip to Scotland. It wasn't easy because of the complicated shapes and curves.
