I'm considering wrapping the front fairings, mudguard and bellypan (maybe, if it doesn't get too hot) of the HP with the 3M protective transparent wrap.
Is there any "tested" place in London or around London?

I contacted a business in London that says it does protective wrapping on cars and other stuff. Spoke with them on the phone, sent the (as requested) pictures of the bike marking which parts will need wrapping, but they never managed to send me back a quote... if they cannot be bothered, neither can I with them.

thanks in advance

Funnily enough, I'm thinking of getting my ally boxes done after seeing a great picture of the finished result from one of the lads in Ireland.

I've started doing a search, but found this company in Sittingbourne, Kent:-

I'm going send them an enquiry and see how I fare......

Am I the only one who read this as "Vinyl Wapping around London" and now has a hard-to-erase image of the man himself in a gimp suit?

The opening title created the interest....then further reading provided the clarity....:D

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAH
(I met Wapping in person only once years ago, but still made me laugh)

OK...I'm going to visit this lot on Friday morning to discuss & get a quote....more info to follow!!!!

Cool.
I think I'll have to show up with HP as well.
I'll give them a call in case.

My main "concern" is how resistant the 3M protective film is to heat (especially for the bellypan).

The guy that deals with bike jobs is called Chris (one of the directors).

Best thing to do is phone their office & ask for him and relay your enquiry. When I see them on Friday morning I'll also ask about the heat resistance qualities of their wrap material....

Think you'll find the warmth of engine or exhaust is close enough to melt vinyl wrap ??? get it powder coated or like I did spray it with engine enamel, leave it to dry overnight looks superb & it's not coming off in a hurry either :)

I'd like my side panels & fork legs done in carbon, swingarm & other bits would look cool but think their too complicated shape wise.

I'm doing it to protect the "transparent" paint from stone chips.
Basically this: http://www.3mventureshield.co.uk/what-is-it/
I'll do the front fairings (headlight) for sure. I'll see about the rest. Also, the rest is one single bit.

One of the incredible things about that bike is the amount of heat it generates.
The rear of the bike, from the seat to the back, is basically just the exhaust covered with vented fairings (I wasn't even remotely thinking about wrapping that). You cannot even touch them when you stop the bike :D :D
