Hi all.
We (me and her indoors) are going over to the Northern irish coast in a week or two and will a bit of time to spare to get out on the bike. We have done the Giants causeway and "The rope bridge" etc in the past but is there anything else we should go and sample with the one or two days we have spare. (The "Dark hedges" is on the list so far.)

We are also going to watch the Armoy Road races.
Any tips for the best place to view etc ????

Thanks all.

I think there is a post with travel information on NI.. will have a look for it..

My 2p worth: Ride the Antrim Coast from Belfast, about 90 miles of fantastic scenery, loads of places to stop for lunch dinner etc.. then get yourself off to Bushmills distillery, of course only the wife can enjoy this bit..

Aslo you could park the bike in Belfast and take a troubles tour. Not exactly a fan of this but it will give you a good tour round Belfast..

Enjoy..

No Greener will you get..

Newcastle Co Down at the foot of the Mourne Mountains,a biker friendly town, great Cafes, scenery, forest parks, coast roads etc.

Agree with above. If you are arriving in N.Ireland at Belfast a tour down the coast of the Ards pennisula via Holywood and Bangor to Portaferry then take the short ferry crossing (15 mins) to Strangford, then follow the coast through Ardglass, Minerstown,Ballykinlar, Dundrum and Newcastle for food stop. From Newcastle you can do a wee circut of the Mourne mountains before heading north. If you are arriving via Dublin once you cross the border at Newry you can follow the coast via Warrenpoint,Rostrevor, Kilkeel, Annalong Newcastle, then do the reverse rout to Belfast mentioned above.:thumb2

Thanks guys. All thats in the pipline.

see you soon !

went to the uslter gp last year and the nw 200 this year. and its a great place to visit on a bike.

could not tell you the best places to watch from as i meet a mate in belfast whos from there and pretty much followed him all over.

but i would recomend getting over to the joey dunlop memorial in bally money and also into joes bar in which there are his race bikes hung on the wall. just ask where on the way in every one knows where it is

and enjoy

Al

ps if you have any union flags on boxes remover them as there are still a few die hard dickheads there who will takje exception to them and its not worth the hassle.
