Visor de-mister stuff ??

I used to use Fog City which works well but their prices crept up and up and up and I just don't think they are worth what you pay any more.

I bought some NikWax Visor Proof which is actually designed to help the rain bead and run off the outside of the visor - but it seems to help the visor from misting up too.

You need to apply it fairly regularly but you don't need much an a bottle goes a long way. Got mine from TravelDri-Plus

BMW used to do a heated visor for the old system 2 helmet. I remember lusting after one of those when I was a poor courier, would have been fantastic. Never figured out why they stopped making them.

They had them for the System 3 hat as well. Don't think they were available from BMW in the UK so I made enquiries when I was in Germany - the price I was quoted at the time would make you feel faint even now!

That's probably why they don't make them!:D

Just got some last Saturday but not tried it yet :nenau.

Also just put a pinlock on my Tour X3 visor, seems to work ok up to now, but in the past, many years of past, mild green Fairy Liquid, hard to beat.

Thanks everyone for tip off re Fogcity insert. Spot on.
I used it for the first time on friday and purposely headed for the fog, and it does what it says on the tin, well, plaggy bag.
Im guessing it works because it traps a layer of air twixt itself and the visor, OR its much warmer material than the visor itself.

Will get some Bob heath spray for my glasses now.

Tyre side down folks.

good stuff but dosnt fairy liquid nacker the visor in the end of scratch free visors as it does contain salt??did it go yellowy in the end?
Ihave appinlock on my schuberth but find if its damp or cold out an ive got a taj warm getting kitted up an then put me lid on you still get condensation on the inside specially when its rainin,an also find it doesnt pay to wipe the pinlock to often as it sha*s the coating!!!

There used to be a visor spinning disc available for motorcycle helmets, worked along the lines of a ships "clear screen" - HERE.
