I need a programme to convert VLC files to DVD..
I have Nero SE2 but it takes 7 hours to trans-code 1.2 gigs of VLC files into a 4 gig DVD file..
There has to be an easier way...
I've just tried to write Corner Gas series 1 [13 x 22 min episodes] to DVD format and it says it will take over 36 hours :( during which time my pooter goes slower than a ZX81 :(

I use AVS4YOU to convert pretty much any video format into any other......ALL video formatting is slow though.....it's very processor intensive:(

The easiest way of doing it faster is to plug a DVD recorder in to your graphics card and play it and record it directly......no conversion needed then and it'll take 7 hours to record 7 hours worth .:comfort

PS next time you buy a PC, get a dual or quad core one so having one slow process won't slow the rest of the machine down too much ;)

Try this:

Best piece of freeware ever created. Converts whatever video you can play on your pc to dvd files with menus etc. I have found no other software that will convert dodgy aspect files to the correct ratios - it just adds black bars instead of stretching video like most others.
