Voice recording from Autocom to DVR such as Drift HD, Ghost and Gopro Hero3

Hi guys,

I’m not an electronics expert, but I have been looking around for a long time to see how I could get sound out of an Autocom System and into the microphone input of the modern range of DVR’s that are now on the market.

Not just the rider’s microphone but also the background chat from bike to bike, music and GPS prompts.

I spoke at length to many companies who couldn’t provide me with a solution or devise to do this.

So in the end having done a lot of research, I decided to risk making and connecting up my own Gizmo and hope I didn’t blow the input of a Drift HD Camera unit in the process.

It worked!

From then to now I have developed the Gizmo further and now have the two devices Gizmo1 which works with Autocom and other products but requires further Autocom parts to connect with Autocom or the Gizmo2 which was developed specifically to work with Autocom.

I am a keen motorcyclist and ROSPA Tutor, this is not something I have developed and expect to make a huge commercial benefit from (would be nice, but I won’t be giving up my day job). But it is something I am happy to make up and provide to other likeminded riders.
