A good mate has asked me to sell this for him, so I’ll offer it here first.
He bought it 4 years ago as an approved used car from Listers VW in Loughborough, for £12580.
2 previous owners. Registered November 2015
It’s always been serviced by Volkswagen.
In his ownership at least it’s always been MOTd at Volkswagen too.
Currently on 94000
Had ceramic paint protection done when he bought it.
Mot and service done last week.
Never failed an MOT, only had an advisory for tires, and the last three MOTs have had an advisory for light misting on front dampers.
Has the well regarded 1. 4 Turbo motor with about 125 bhp, so nippy but economical.
Only £35 a year road tax, and ULEZ compliant.
In absolutely lovely condition inside and out. Very close to immaculate.
It’s very high spec being the Match model, inc the following.
Metallic limestone grey paintwork
16” alloys
Flat bottomed multi function steering wheel
Self dipping rear view mirror
Adaptive cruise control
Air con
Electric folding mirrors
Cornering lights
Reversing camera
Park assist with steering assist
Driving modes, inc eco, sport etc.
Front and rear parking sensors
7inch touch screen
DAB radio
Automatic electric handbrake
Hill hold
Auto lights and wipers.

Also has the winter pack, which includes
Heated seats
Heated screen wash
Headlamp washers.
The car drives beautifully.
Had a cambelt fitted 08/2023 at 76000 miles.
New Bosch aero wiper blades.

Any negatives?
As you can see in the pictures one door looks slightly darker, pics make it look worse, obvious was painted at some point prior tomy mates ownership.
Tires all have plenty of tread but are not matching.
I did an HPI check which revealed a slight mileage discrepancy, obviously someone filled the numbers in wrongly when it went in for a service, as it was only 2,500 miles difference, and changed the next day when the MOT was done.
Prices seem to vary quite a bit on these, but looking on Autotrader the good ones start at £6500 and go up.
Most don’t have this spec and provenance.
Comes with all the supporting paperwork, owners manual, fully stamped service book with 11 VW stamps.
Both original keys.
He’s looking for £5800 for it.
It’s at my house, I’m just off J23 M1 Leics.
Come and take an extended test drive.
Please don’t bother making negative comments, I notice a few are starting up again. I’m just trying to help a mate out.

Car looks lovely - pity about the re painted door that does stand out in the photos - how noticeable is it?

It’s more noticeable from some angles than others, I’m not sure which has been painted, I’m assuming one has because you can see the slight discrepancy. As I mentioned, my mate bought it from a main dealer as a used approved, and that’s how it came, he’s not had it painted. The quality of the paint is factory standard I would say.
At the end of the day it’s a 10 year old car with 94k miles, most will have had some paint at this age.

I'm running an earlier Mk6.5 1.6TDi I bought as a stopgap from a mate in the village. It was his mother in law's car and had done the square root of no miles at all. I'd not had a Golf since a MkII GTI years ago. Probably tells you all you need to know that, despite being Domestic Appliance White, I'm still running it two and half years and 40k later. It's needed oil and filter changes, a set of tyres and a new cap on the brake fluid reservoir - that's it. They are daftly competent cars and will do pretty much anything you need a car to do.

Thanks, my brother is looking so I'll pass it on

His car failed the MOT and it was not worth repairing
