I just thought I'd mention this app that seems to have popped up and shows a lot of promise.
It's not perfect, for example at the moment it shows speed in kmph and cannot be changed to mph (they are apparently fixing this).
But it will do route planning, round routes, poi planning. Also coming in GPX import and export. Safety camera warnings are also included.
But potentially one smart feature is that you can create you own riding groups, then you can see or locate members of the group on rideouts (for example one of the members get lost/held up).
Plus if you have a screen mirroring device, the app will work with that too.
I've only used it very briefly but for an app that is free of charge I think it is really good.
