Waaaah. EWS alert.

Oh Dear, oh deary deary me.

Honest question chaps - should I just smile, loose the £250 deposit and keep my Blackbird or hang it all and pick the new GSA up this Saturday?

I'm serious - you guys are scaring the hell out of me. 4 days at the TT end of next week; 11 day tour of France and Austria in August.

What have I done :blast

Hell no!
Buy it, you'll love it. If it's a new one it should have the updated part which is fixed, and most of my issues have been to poor performance from Mondial morons, not anything to do with the bike.
Remember, most of the stuff you'll hear on here is bitching, cos when nothing's wrong then we're not going to be sat here saying so - we'll be riding! ;)

Get a new dealer.

BVM have been the soul of helpfulness, and have happily fought my corner (even though they shouldn't have to) with Mondial all through this process.

Not so easy, the next nearest one is 60 miles away!!
Got the bike back fixed (with a complete new Engine management unit), but with a dent in the end can thanks to BMW assist morons!
Did 900 miles around Cornwall last week with no probs. Still cring every time I hit the starter button though

BVM are 60 miles from me. ;) The peace of mind I get from dealing with people who actually look like they care about bikes (it's a "gravel and steel" dealership rather than "marble, glass, and chrome") is worth it in terms of transit time, IMO. Murphy's Law if I break the bike I'll not be able to get it to a Birmingham repairshop while they're open on a weekday either. *shrug*

Mondial (AKA BMW Assist) definately need rattling in general - I've still got to send letters to involved parties about the screwups in my recoveries; a case of getting all the facts at my fingertips and getting good and angry before starting writing. :augie

Got a customer satisfaction survey form from BMW Arsist yesterday. This is going to be fun!!!!:mcgun

My Ring Antenna went on my 08 GSA on Sunday. Collected and taken to Clarks on Monday. Back to me today.:D

Parts in stock - make sure you get the latest part number which is supposed to be THE solution.:augie Part number should end in '247'. If it doesn't you've got an old part. The new part was only available from early May.
